Architects Example
The approval of plans is controlled by the council (Camara) of the Municipality of Calheta. The plots are on land zoned for residential development and there are no significant planning constraints on what can be built on the plots. The planning process involves a full set of architectural and engineering drawings and takes 2 to 3 months.
The example drawings were prepared by a local architect to demonstrate the size of house that is acceptable. They show a development of 3 modern houses with 3 bedrooms and include basement garage (many other styles are possible). Introductions can be arranged to architects, lawyers, builders etc.
